Recently the Supreme Court of Israel over-ruled the decision of the Israeli Electoral Board that barred two treasonous Arabs, who advocate the destruction of the Jewish state by violence, from running as members of the Knesset. On the same day, it barred from running in the same election a Jewish candidate because, some years ago, he was convicted for blocking city traffic as a token of civil disobedience in a protest against the Oslo accords. There is only one way to interpret this, the Arabs have been sent a clear message by the Supreme Court of Israel - it is not against the law of the land for Arabs to preach sedition and aid and abet the enemies of the State of Israel, but it is forbidden for Jews to protest against Israeli policy decisions of making concessions to the Arabs. Israelis support their mortal enemies in the name of democracy. Allowing these Arabs to run for office is like letting Al-Qaeda operatives run for Congress and make legislative decisions on the fate of the American nation. How do you think they would vote?
I must confess I was extremely depressed over this recent judicial decision. You can now sit in Israel's Knesset even if you are there to destroy it. Treason is no longer a crime; it is sanctioned under Israeli law. Under this logic: Why not allow Marwan Barghoutti or Arafat run for Prime Minister of Israel? These judges have in effect given terrorists a green light. It is as if the Israeli leftists have a death wish and want to implode their country from within.
What these Jewish leftists seem incapable of understanding is that these Arabs are using the democratic system as a means to destroy Israel. These leftist Jews will fall on their own sword in the defense of their fallacious and delusional ideology that is unwilling to recognize the heinous intent of the enemy and the extent of their pathological hatred of Jews. An entire generation of Arab children has been raised as psychopathic Jew killers. In effect, the Jewish left is prepared to immolate the entire population of Israel in the name of a self-destructive "liberal" ideology.
Democracy is a very tenuous system that can be easily destroyed if all parties do not play by the humane rules with which it was designed. And the Arabs are seditiously using the democratic system to bring it down upon itself. No system is more vulnerable to an intended corruption from within. Believe me, these Arab "politicians" are now laughing like hyenas at the stupidity of their sheepish prey.
I have a good friend in Israel who has since the announcement of this Supreme Court decision, lost all hope. He is an American Jew, a Zionist, who is now going to leave Israel after making aliyah fifty years ago. He thinks Israel will self-destruct because the Jewish leftists are hell bent on undermining the very existence of the State of Israel.
Good Jewish soldiers are out there fighting for their country, and the leftists are shooting them in the back. One cannot help but remember Orwell's experiences in Spain, where the Communists, to serve a perverse ideology, sacrificed their own soldiers and shot them in the back. And we know who won in Spain. The same will occur in Israel. The Jews, I am afraid, cannot win if they are serving the enemy's interests over their own. Why is Arafat still allowed to operate? Why is Sheik Yassin allowed to orchestrate his deadly designs? There is an old adage in war: Kill the shepherd and the flock will scatter. But the Israelis allow these masterminds of terror to inflict maximum harm on their populous and act with impunity. To make matters worse, Israel directly finances these killers infrastructure by transferring tax funds directly to them! The world community and America pressure Israel to give "taxation" money to the "terroraucracy" of Arafat helping him to continue his campaign of terror. It is just like Nazi Germany, wherein, the Jews were forced to pay the expense of their own execution. The Arabs have matriculated in Nazi Jew hatred and have taken it a step further. Their fanaticism goes beyond the Nazis in that they are willing to kill themselves in order to kill and maim as many Jews as possible. Even Nazis would not go that far. The Arab terrorist is the bastard child of Nazism married with Islamic fundamentalism. Their hatred supersedes all else. For these killers, no cause is more important, more noble, than killing Jews.
Yet, leftist Jews want to sit down and break bread with them. They want to negotiate with their executioners. The Arabs, to this very day, have shown no interest in making peace with Jews or even recognizing the historical fact that the Land of Israel is the homeland of the Jewish people. They have, however, shown every interest in killing as many Jews as possible and completely crippling Israel's economy with the help of their complicit anti-Semitic brethren in Academia and European governments, who are also interested in Jewish genocide. Western Academia has all but adopted its own version of the Nuremberg Laws, making Israel and Jewish academics "Verbotten."
I am very fearful that this Supreme Court decision bodes very ill for Israel's future and weakens the resolve of the Jewish people. You cannot fight a war to defend your land when your own people are conspiring against you. It is only a matter of time until the soldiers realize that the leftists have abandoned them and that they have been fighting in vain. Those leftist Jews are more interested in being loved by their killers, than fighting for their own survival. And their executioners will not reciprocate in kind, but perceive their appeasement as vulnerability to be crushed. Notice how Arafat prefers a left wing Israeli government and attempts to manipulate the Israeli voters by turning on and off the violence.
I fear we must now start thinking of what to do after the Arabs kill all the Jews in Israel and destroy the Jewish State. The end is coming. It is only a matter of time and the Arab's know it. They prey on the foolish Jewish left wing intellectuals who bash Israel and undermine its very existence. These Jews would sacrifice another 6 million Jews in the name of what?
These are very dark days I am afraid. I see the clouds of destruction on the horizon. The Arabs know it and that is what keeps them going. They sense their enemy's weakness and are counting on it.
The hyenas gather on a hilltop and look down at the sheep milling around afraid and confused and unwilling to take necessary action. Arafat has spent his whole life preparing for this moment. He dreamed of the day his enemy would be within arm's reach. Why do you think he can't wipe that crocodile smile from his face? He has a lot to smile about.

Your letter is full of only partly justified despair. Your letter would make Arafat very happy had he read it. And he may, as he has agents all over. I am sure that you did not write your letter to please Arafat.
Let me answer your main points one by one. I agree that some members of Israel’s Supreme Court are politically biased and that members of Israeli leftist parties, like their colleagues in Europe and the US have an illusion that pacifying the enemy will keep him away. The decision of the Supreme Court had a flavor of arbitrariness and partisanship, which is repugnant to all of us. However, the members of the Supreme Court who voted in favor of those ridiculous moves (not all justices did!) acted within the existing legal framework. That framework will undoubtedly change as a result of this traumatic experience by appropriate legislation in the next Knesset as will the rulings of the primaries, which led to other embarrassing “irregularities”. These rules have already been amended today. Democracy has a built in inertia but it avoids the arbitrariness of despotism. So let’s be happy with what we have.
I agree with you that the leftists have dangerous delusions. They disregard the critical fact tat the value system of the Islamist Arabs is utterly different from theirs and there are no peaceniks on the Arab side. I there were compassionate peace loving liberals among the Arabs, they are dead by now or are in hiding. I agree with you that the Israeli Jews are now in an extremely dangerous situation. Since suicide has no role in Jewish culture and Jews are not fatalistic in nature – that is their strength, their only option is to withstand the Arab genocidal aggression, no matter how long it takes.
There seem to be sick or even rotten elements in the Jewish nation. These must be pruned to prevent extensive decay – their exposure to the public and the demonstration of their folly is the most effective way to ensure their rejection and abandonment. Luckily, they are in the minority and the damage they have caused so far is limited.
As for Arafat, we must not underestimate his abilities as a Machiavellian strategist. His financial and political support of Mitzna is a well-calculated “divide and conquer” ploy. But I do not believe that the overwhelming majority of Jewish Israelis will fall for it. (see Reuven Koret’s editorial in the Israel Insider of today).
So please do not despair, Aaron. The Jewish nation survived 3300 years because of its resilience and rejection of fatalistic despair. It will survive also this assault by blood-thirsty, fanatic Arabs.

A good a thoughtful response to my views. However, for two thousand years Jews have not had sovereignty over our own country and have forgotten what it takes to hold onto the land. We have forgotten God's advice to throw out the inhabitants of the land or bare the consequences: "It will be like needles in your eyes." That is certainly coming to pass.
I think you underestimate the depth of economic and physical violent pressure being brought on our nascent state. If all the Jews were unified and determined to confront this oppression, they would certainly triumph. However, the present government is not willing to go the distance. Arafat should be history and not a living entity allowed to mastermind his terror. It isn't like Israel can't find him. They have his address. Same with Sheik Yassin, who was released from an Israeli prison so he could vent his psychopathic destruction on Israel. This has the dimensions of the absurdity of a comic book. What are these monsters doing alive? Why are they allowed to continue their reign of terror?
There is a definite failure to act in Israel's best interest. At the same time, the leftists are trying to erode Israel's support and will. Like corrosive acid, they are melting away the resolve of the nation.
You are more optimistic than I. I hope you are right. However, nobody ever listens to prophets of doom. It is easier to hold onto illusions, whereas the truth is a bitter pill to swallow.
It is time to take serious action. Blowing up empty houses is not enough. They must start transferring Arabs out of Judea and Samaria. This is the only road to peace.
Where there is a will, there is a way. With no will and no vision, we are certainly lost. And Israel has no clear goal. They are completely reactive to Arab terror and not taking the initiative.

Take heart in the fact that the overwhelming majority of Jews in Israel are calling for action and not for reaction, exactly as you do. I agree that Arafat smiles today hoping that “his” men in Israel will deliver him the Jewish state on a silver platter. However, “he who laughs best laughs last”. And Arafat will not be the one who will laugh last. If the leadership of the Arabs in the “disputed territories” will continue with their militant policy, the Israelis will have little choice but to follow your suggested solution.
However, the Arab-Israeli front line starts in Hebron and Jerusalem and goes through Tel Aviv and Haifa, but it also includes New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington. All Americans, Jews and non-Jews, are involved in this battle. Like the Israelis, we Americans do not have the luxury of despair because despair invites defeat. Thus instead of becoming a prophet of doom, try to come up with ways to fight the Islamic scourge that is not threatening just Israel and the Jewish people but also the whole Western civilization.
